The Model VFG-Model Telephones are surface bulkhead mounted and ideally located in low noise areas such as
State Rooms and Offices. An internal audio signaling device is used to signal an incoming call.

The magneto generator, internal audio signaling device, selector switch, handset and handset brackets are mounted
on the cover. The terminal blocks are mounted within the back box.

Both the handset bracket and the main telephone enclosure are fabricated with polycarbonate and are finished in a
black powder coat. The phone is equipped with a single action push to release locking button. The receiver and
transmitter capsule units are identical and interchangeable. In addition to the transmitter and receiver units, there
is a “Press to Operate” pushbutton switch mounted on the handset for convenience. The standard coiled cord of the
handset is one foot long and 6 feet when fully extended.

The Model VFG-WTH are Watertight Voice Powered Telephones that are located mainly in areas, such as the Bow, Stern,
Bridge Wings and Quarter Decks, where exposure to the elements is unavoidable. An audio signaling device is used to signal
an incoming call. A remote watertight under dome bell is provided with a 6 inch diameter brass gong. The enclosure is
fabricated with fiberglass reinforced polyester. It is finished in light gray. All communication components are mounted inside
the watertight enclosure.

Two molded clips are used to secure the hinged door to the box. Mounting brackets are provided for bulkhead installation. A
rubber gasket is secured along the door channels to provide a watertight seal. The installer can either nipple the bell on top of the enclosure, with a 1/2″ NPT entrance hole or mount it at a remote location. The phone is equipped with a single action push to release locking button. The receiver unit and the transmitter units are identical and interchangeable. In addition to the
transmitter and receiver units, there is a “Press to Operate” pushbutton switch mounted on the handset for convenience. The

Within the phone is a 110 VAC heater and temperature control thermostat to prevent moisture from being collected inside the

The Model VFG-FLR Series are Flush Mounted Telephones that are mainly located in medium noise areas such as Control
Rooms and Offices. An audio signaling device is used to signal an incoming call.

When there is more than one voice powered telephone in the same area, the indicator light identifies which telephone is being called. In a wide, noisy working area, the latching relay may be employed to sound an additional audible device and/or a
rotating beacon to draw the attention of the called personnel.

The latching relay and the terminal blocks are mounted inside the back box. The station selector switch, the indicator light,
“RESET” pushbutton switch, generator and handset brackets are mounted on the cover. The pushbutton is used to reset the
latching relay.

The phone is equipped with a single action push to release locking button. accept an H39A plug for additional communication devices, such as headset.
